Pipet Rosé Sauvage Brut
Coming from one of the worlds oldest Champagne houses in Champagne, France, Piper Heidsieck was founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck. Originally a draper in Riems, he was the son of a Westphalian Protestant minister. Florens fell in love with a girl, and the wine from Champagne.
Piper Heidsieck Sauvage is a Rose Champagne presented in a very recognisable pink labeled bottle. The wine is created from the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape and is an intense blushing pink color, with an aroma that is like a bright smile, full of joy.
At first taste it is fresh and of course deliciously bubbly. At the outset it is slightly tart, but this gives way as the aromas and flavors of sun ripened sweet summer fruits and juicy red plums takes over. The sensation of decadence is lasting and at the finish it is exuberant, lush and warm.
