Parker's Heritage Collecetion Wheat Whiskey 2014 8th Edition
Heaven Hill America's largest family-owned and operated distilled spirits producer release the 8th edition from their Parker's Heritage Collection a series of rare, limited edition American Whiskeys which pay tribute to sixth-generation Master Distiller Emeritus Parker Beam.
For the first time in this series they are focusing on a wheat whiskey. Bottled at cask strength and non chill filtered after 13 years of aging in new charred oak barrels on the top floors of one of their rickhouses in Bardstown, this spirt refined, complex and has great depth.
The aroma is toasty oak, studded with vanilla and baking spices. The taste is sweet honey, silky caramel, milky chocolate, with intriguing hints of apple pie laced with ginger and cinnamon. These spices go on into the finish which is gently spicy, charred wood which is delicately smokey. Pour this deep amber nectar neat, or add a little water to expand and accentuate the flavors.
Emeritus Parker Beam was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/Lou Gehrig’s disease). Heaven Hill donate $5 from the sale of every bottle of this annual series to ALS research and treatment.
