Knob Creek 2001 Edition Bourbon Whiskey
After a fourteen year wait, Fred Noe has finally released Knob Creek 2001 Limited Edition Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey to honor his father Booker Noe and their family’s legacy. After receiving a distiller scholarship to attend the University of Kentucky in 1951, Booker rose through the ranks of Beam & Sons to become Master Distiller just before he passed away in 2004. In late 2001, he handed the responsibility of stewarding Knob Creek to his son, who, like his father before him, waited fourteen years before bottling this whiskey.
Knob Creek 2001 Edition Bourbon is the result of a perfect combination of rye, corn and malted barley. This selection was aged in charred American oak barrels for eight years to create a bourbon of extraordinary depth and nuance. A complex nose of vanilla, caramel and baking spices gives way to a palate that starts sweet and finishes spicy with notes of cream and warm spices.
