Smooth Ambler
Smooth Ambler Contradiction Bourbon
Smooth Ambler Contradiction Bourbon is exactly what its name implies: a blend of whiskeys from two worlds, bourbon made in-house in West Virginia and sourced whiskey from Tennessee. What started as a curiosity became a fan favorite. By marrying a high-rye merchant bourbon (corn, rye, and malted barley) with their wheated house-distilled bourbon (corn, wheat, and malted barley), Smooth Ambler created a flavorful hybrid that tastes like a four-grain mash in disguise.
Non-chill filtered and full-bodied, Contradiction delivers complexity with a smooth, viscous mouthfeel. It’s distilled using both continuous column and pot still methods, and the blend includes whiskey aged over 9 years. Produced in limited quantities, around 50,000 bottles annually, it’s a standout bottle with a growing reputation, earning gold and 90+ scores from respected spirits competitions.
