Colonel Albert B Blanton always picked best single barrels to bottle for his special guest and friends. Today at Quality Liquor Store, we get to do the same thing for you.
In our quest to achieve this standard of excellence having secured several barrel samples from Blanton's distillery, we invited (for 2017 one large well versed group) individuals to join our tasting panel. Members of our panel came from amongst our own store personnel, as well as unaffiliated industry veterans and certified spirit specialists. We brought these illustrious people together over several occasions and on your behalf they undertook a series of carefully monitored blind-taste tests. Our panel made their selection and those individual choices were unanimous.
Onward to the 2018 bottling. This was a very unique bottling. Again we did not receive this barrel until later in the year. It's Blanton's, and for that reason alone you will love it. This barrel was hand picked by us at QLS making it just a little bit better than ordinary Blanton's.
This 2017 bottling came much later than the date of the last two barrels. For reasons unknown to us we did not receive this Barrel Selection until late October. Yes we could have released it then, but what a better way to celebrate the holidays than to hold on to it until it matter's most. As usual each bottle is hand labeled and individually numbered.
On or around April 7th, 2016 barrel (09-F-09-H-4-15-093) was bottled. At 93 proof, each rare and precious bottle of Blanton's For Quality Liquor Store is hand labeled and individually numbered from #1 - #228 and reserved for your personal pleasure and enjoyment.

It is a truly remarkable, exceptional expression of Blanton's which is available in very limited quantities. We expect it to be available for only a very short time, which brings us ladies and gentlemen to the reason we did this, so please charge your glasses. We would like to propose a toast to you our highly valued customers. Thank you. Tasting Notes: The nose is oozing with clear sweet honey, soft luxurious vanilla, spice and tobacco, with a palate that is rich and full, effortlessly creamy with a buttery feel, sweet with honey and brightened with citrus, with background of oaken woodiness throughout. It's finish is fruity with peach and citrus zest, buttery soft and chocolatey.
