Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #1

Balvenie Tun 1509 No.1 is the a creation of Malt Master, David Stewart. Carefully selecting 42 of the finest casks from the Balvenie’s precious and aged single malt stock. Thirty five were traditional American oak casks, and the remaining seven European oak sherry butts. Transferring them all, lock, stock and barrel into Tun1509, located in Warehouse 24 of their distillery located in the Highlands of Bonnie Scotland, they remained, tended with care for several more months, before finally being bottled.

Tun 1509 Batch #1 is a unique interpretation of the blending and marrying together of hand selected casks which, when they come together, create a devilishly handsome and unique whisky.

Light golden amber, it is deep and rich. Light, delicate florals, come together with sweet vanilla and zesty orange peel. Smooth, like velvet, it is mellow and warmly welcoming. The tang of the citrus combines with warming cinnamon spice and sweet blossom honey for a long and lush finish.
