Allagash Brewing Nancy Wild Ale

From Allagash Brewing Company Nancy is a hand crafted Belgian-style brew right out of Maine. It is one of their much anticipated limited editions. It is carefully made with Balaton and Montmorrency Cherries and Brettanomyces at no more and no less than 2lbs of fruit per gallon, and fermented for just a little under a year.

The brew is copper golden red in color, pouring with a light, quickly dissipating head. Fragrant aromas of juicy cherries with a touch of bread crust and cinnamon spice. It is light and crisp, with a flavor of mouth puckering and tartly sour cherries up at the front, with a mid section of citrus fruit seasoned with mouthwatering pie spices. The finish retains a dry, pleasantly persistent tartness. Well balanced and refreshing.
